Back in 1972, I was a young high school student in the small town of Junee, in southern NSW. I have posted previously about how much I enjoyed living in Junee. At that time, I was keen on Helen, a fellow Junee High student. On a school excursion to nearby Wagga, we attended the cinema to watch a movie about a famous Englishman named Cromwell. Unfortunately, I didn’t learn anything about Cromwell that day because I spent all of the movie trying to build the courage to hold Helen’s hand. Even more unfortunately, I didn’t hold her hand, either! I am happy to say that I was much more relaxed today as I met up with lovely Helen in Temora, something like 47 years after that excursion.
