I have met some lovely people at the Bouldercombe camp site over the past two years. At the start of my most recent stay, Dutch traveller Bas stopped by the van for a chat when he arrived, and we chatted for quite some time before inviting French couple Alice and Vincent to join us. The sky was clear for the first time in quite a while and we admired the stars and spotted quite a few shooting stars. We chatted about many topics, including places we have visited. After hearing Alice say "Mooloolaba" in her lovely accent, the good ol' Aussie pronunciation will never seem quite good enough. The next morning, we all went our separate ways, but not before the obligatory photographs and additions to the van bling. Bas and I were lucky enough to receive a visit from young Cody, whose family had camped at the site overnight. What a lovely young fellow! He wasn't impressed that his teachers had given him wads of material to work on while on his travels. A couple of weeks later, young German travellers Charlene and Azul parked next to me, in search of shade. When they set up for dinner one evening, I commented on their three or four wine bladders they laid out on the table. "Yes ... that should be enough for tonight," they replied. Charlene was learning to play "Riptide" on her ukulele, and challenged me to start playing the ukulele that I have had in the van with me for the past two years. The camp caretaker kindly let me photograph Charlene and Azul in the old pub next door.
